Carrie LeNoir is pictured here as a teen in the late 1930's.

Since 1808 the LeNoir family have run a one-room country store in the farming community of Horatio, S.C. In 1900 a post office was opened in the store, which the family operates as well. Carrie LeNoir and her husband Samuel ran the store and post office for seventy-two years. After Samuel's death Mrs. LeNoir kept the family business going. In 2009 Mrs. Carrie LeNoir, 92, began to show signs of Alzheimer's Disease. Since then two of her children, Steve and Beverly LeNoir, have taken care of her, the post office and store. Unable to give their mother the care she needed they made the hard decision of placing Mrs. LeNoir in an assisted living home.
